Every day is tax free in Vermont!!
For those of you who took advantage of Vermont's official tax-free day - I thought I would share with you, if you are unaware, that currently clothing at any price (even that of a wedding dress!!) is never taxed in Vermont! So many do not realize that the State of Vermont withdrew the $110 sales tax cap several years ago. These days when every penny counts - so many brides and families are happy to find that when their gown is ordered in our salon that the 7% sales tax does not ever apply! Jewelry and random items are still taxable under Vermont tax laws, but not your gown! Happy savings in Vermont!!!All my best,
Debbie
BRRRR!!!!
Welcome to winter in Vermont!!!!! January sales and trunk shows are over - but we still have so many fabulous new things happening in the salon. Long awaited "Fancy" bridal dresses have arrived! Visit www.dressmefancy.com to get a glimpse of the new collection of fanciful, retro inspired, not your typical "bridal gown" dresses. This is the time of year we are receiving packages from our all favorite designers, the latest beautiful gowns and accessories arrive every week as we start a wonderful new year! For those of you who have not visited the salon recently, we have new friendly faces this year. Becky will be leaving us soon for a VERY happy reason, she is soon to be a momma!!! (we'll miss her - but couldn't be happier for Becky and her husband, Adrian!!) Anna has followed her career goal and attained a position with a local law firm. I am so happy to welcome Catherine, who is now here almost as many hours as I am! Allison and Angie are our newest part-time ladies, and my daughter Megan is still helping us on weekends.
I know the world is a strange and stressful place lately, we all have so much to be thankful for. To spend my days helping brides and their families celebrate such a wonderful occasion is a joy for which I cannot ever fully express my appreciation, I am so grateful to those who let us be part of their wedding plans.
So... strap on your snowshoes, open a good bottle of wine by the fire, cook up a rich pot of stew or a sweet batch of cookies, and share your time with those you love, whatever helps you enjoy another wonderful Vermont winter! (I'll work on all of the above!!)
All my best,
Debbie
